Antenex Mobile Antennas
Antenex Genesis Wide-Band mobile antennas have a unique network that compensates for the change in impedance with frequency, and this greatly increases its useful operating band width. There are many advantages to this "no coil" design including no tuning, which translates into ease of installation and reduced cost & mdash; there is no need to trim the whip. Just install it "out of  the box." Also, the unique matching network in these antennas adjusts itself to different mounting conditions. Just imagine the potential labor savings in large fleet installation and simplicity in user installed upgrades.These wide-band models allow radios to operate on two near but not adjacent bands. Bands that are near each other in the spectrum but far enough apart usually require more than one antenna.

Antenex Phantom Transit Antennas
These unique Phantom antennas have low-visibility with a wide band width and low angle radiation pattern that is far superior to flat or "hockey puck" style antennas and can produce results superior to many high-gain antennas. Available with industry standard NMO mounting socket or with a threaded stud mount adapted from the marine industry, this patent pending technology is beneficial when great performance is desired or required. The Phantom features a remarkable new field diversity element & mdash; an element that has "radiation diversity" that reduces the annoying drop outs and dead spots encountered with standard antennas. Antenex recently rerated the gain specifications on the Phantom line to 3½ dB-MEG.

Antenex GPS Antennas
Since the first GPS satellite was launched by the Department of Defensein 1978, the radio navigation system has grown to 24 operational satellites in six circular orbits 20,200 km (10,900 nm) above the earth.
GPS provides two levels of service -- Standard Position Service (SPS) for general public use and Precise Position Service (PPS) for Department of Defense use. SPS accuracy is intentionally degraded to protect national security interests. The process called Selective Availability (SA), controls the availability of the systems full capabilities. The SPS accuracy specifications include the effects of SA. GPS provides accuracies for position. The accuracy is with respect to geographic, or geodetic coordinates of the earth, regardless of time of day or weather conditions. SPS coverage is continuous and worldwide but is limited to using only 6 satellites at a time.
GPS operates on two frequencies defined as L1, 1575.42 and L2, 1227.6MHz. GPS antennas are typically available in active or passive type. Active antennas have the amplifier built into the antenna; passive antennas rely on the receiver to provide the amplification.
