DC Ventilation Fans
Come with three-wing aluminum fan blades and mounted in a square steel venturi. May be used in greenhouses, barns, attics, kennels, etc. They can run from a 12V battery or directly from PV modules (30Watt for the 16" and 20Watt for the 12") at 6 to 20V. Fans available separately or with our solar panel (kit, below). Motors are nameplate rated 24 to 32V but are used on these fans at 1/2 voltage, for longer life. Note: these fans are improved (in 2007) over previous units, which used smaller 12V motors , operated at 6-9Vdc.

Solar-Powered DC Ventilation Fan Kits
Same fans as above but they run from an included 12V  PV modules (30Watt for the 16" and 20Watt for the 12"). Motor operates at 6 to 20V, depending  on sun intensity. These are sturdy fan systems suitable for commercial installations. Airflow ratings below are average. Peak airflow will be higher. May be direct connected or switched, using a common air temp thermostat (as used in 120Vac fan control), which closes the circuit upon  ambient temperature rising to setpoint. Solar panel may be mounted up to 100ft away, on a roof or on an exterior wall.
(Larger solar fan systems can be supplied, up to 60in. diameter, in a similar configuration)

FAN Shutter
This shutter fits over the fan exhaust on the outdoor side. Louvers open when fan is operating. Includes screen to exclude birds and larger insects.

FAN Shroud Screen
This screen fits over the fan on the indoor side. May be required when there is a possibility that people or animals can reach the fan. (In US, OSHA requires this when fan is located lower than 7ft from floor or otherwise within reach)

"Fan-Attic"
 Attic Ventilation, Sunrise to Sunset
The Fan-Attic operates in direct proportion to the sun's position in the sky. Because of this, The Fan-Attic's blades provide the right amount of ventilating power at any given time of day. The Fan-Attic is ideal for homes, cabins garages, mobile homes, storage spaces, sheds or any enclosed area needing better air circulation.
OPTIONS:  A pre-set, snap switch thermostat is available. Fan is set to come on at 85 degrees F and turn itself off at 70 degrees F.

INSTALLATION:
The Fan-Attic is packed for field installation with all components pre-assembled and included. Best results are obtained on a south-facing roof (north-facing in southern hemisphere). A 13-inch circular hole is cut through the  roof and sheathing. The top edge of the fan flashing is slid up under the  roof material and the underlayment. The fan flashing is then secured to the roof sheathing with corrosion resistant screws or nails. Please refer to manufacturer's printed instructions
Solar Thru-the-Wall Vent
This fan is a 12-volt dc version of a standard thru-the-wall ventilating fan, as used in kitchens and bathrooms. May also be suitable for exhausting of industrial vapors due to low voltage operation. For walls 5 to 10 inches thick. 7 1/8 in round wall cutout. With exterior rain hood and shutter. White painted aluminum. White interior louvered grill. Brushless motor has long life. Fan is available separately or with solar panel as a kit. Solar panel mounts on roof or exterior wall. Two fan motor sizes: 100 cfm or 400 cfm. With solar panel connected directly (batteryless), fan runs when sun is shining. For 24-hour operation, we supply a larger solar panel and add a marine-type 12V battery (buy locally). Mount solar panel on roof or exterior wall. 1 year warranty on motor; 15 to 25 years on solar panel. Instructions included.
