| IrriGator SOLAR-POWERED IRRIGATION CONTROL Operated from solar electric power, this sprinkler valve control unit needs no connection to utility electric power. Ideal for remote homes, parkgrounds, and unattended facilities. Mounts on pole or wall. Zone outputs are to standard 24Vac solenoids, which are used by all popular irrigation valves, such as Toro, Richdel, and Champion. Shown below with cover removed, the set consists of three main units: 1. Control Unit 2. Solar Panel 3. Battery FEATURES o Easy to Maintain - - These units are very trouble free. Service information and parts list included. Control unit is composed of standard electronic modules that are available from multiple sources. No hard-to-find parts! o Guarantee - - Solar panel is guaranteed for 5 years. Control unit is 1 year and battery is 1 year. o Battery Life - - Battery typically lasts 5 years. We recommend that battery ($59 or less) be replaced every 4 years. o Accurate Timing - - Electronic clock operates from solar battery power and is not subject to mistiming due to power failure. Set and forget. SOLAR SIZING: Several sizes of solar panels are available: the -05 models include 5-Watt BP Solarex array, adequate for latitudes below 40 degrees. Higher latitude installations or shady locations may require the -10 (10Watt) or higher Watt versions. For extreme shade, specify the 50-Watt solar panel. Standard cabinet color is electrical gray. | Solar Conversion Kis for Existing AC-Powered
Timers An existing, standard 24Vac timer/controller (Orbit, Rainbird, Toro, etc,) can be operated on solar power using one of these kits. Not as efficient as the 12V systems (above), so a larger solar panel is required: -50 kit is 50Watts for lower latitudes or -80 kit is 80 Watts for higher latitudes. Kit includes solar panel, pole mount for solar panel, and outdoor electrical cabinet measuring 12 x 12 x 4 in. Cabinet provides 24Vac to any existing timer.(Timer not included).

IrriGator Control WALL - The basic irrigation control set is mounted as follows: control unit mounts via 4 screws to vertical interior or exterior vertical wall. Solar panel mounts via 4 screws to shingle or composition roof. Also mounts to vertical wall. POLE - Pole mounting options are: o U-Clamps for mounting control to 2in. conduit are included. Suitable for home and farm installation (shown in photo, above). Included. o Optional Vandal-Resistant Pedestal Mount. Pedestal IR/PD-1 is recommended for outdoor public locations. Pedestal (6ft) and coupling accepts control unit (also solar panel, if desired, on included nipple). Recommend imbed 2 feet into concrete. o IR/PD-2 Pole Extension is an optional 5-foot pipe extension to the pedestal. Used to extend solar panel above control unit for protection against vandalism. (Standard 2-inch steel electrical conduit). |

Solenoid Valves with Filter/Regulator Models VA001 (3/4") and VA002 (1") are single valve assemblies that include a filter and an adjustable pressure regulator. The pressure regulators can be adjusted from 28 to 60 PSI. Both models have an inline valve with an AC solenoid. Model VA001 has a 3/4" FPT inlet and outlet. Model VA002 has a 1" FPT inlet and a 3/4" FPT outlet. Models VA003 through VA006 have from one to four valves assembled into a complete manifold all with 1" inline valves and AC solenoids. All assemblies use Swivel Fittings and are ready for connecting to a water supply line. All models have a 1" FPT water inlet and 1" FPT water outlets at each valve. The water inlets and outlets are swivel fittings which include "O" rings so there is no need for tools or Teflon tape. These valves work with any standard 24V ac sprinkler timer, including IrriGator solar control, above. |

The DoubleTimer is a solid-state module used to expand the number of solenoid valves connected to an irrigation timer. One module divides one zone line into two. Also cycles valves on and off in 2-minute intervals to allow soaking. Saves water. Great for slopes. Ideal for restoring operation of control wires damaged by moles or gophers. 24VAC |

They use two 9-volt batteries, with a battery life of 1 to 2 years, and can be installed anywhere without the need to install electric wires.
